Given that yesterday was our wedding anniversary, wouldn't it be most significant to recognize the blessing that the Lord has granted me in my husband. Recently one of my friends commented "I never knew how quick-witted Keith was." To which I replied "Why do you think I married him?!" HA! That's my hubby... Mr Funny. That truly is how we got to know each other. A long time ago we found eachother on the internet as we were sharing funnies back and forth. Mind you - I was NOT looking for an internet romance. After about 7 years of meaningless chatter back and forth and a whole lot of laughs, he asked me to be his date for a family affair. The abbreviated version of the story is as follows: Drove 500 miles to meet him at "The Party Source" (odd meeting place). He shows me around his town (Cincy) and informs his family he has a date for tomorrow's wedding. I get a kidney stone and end up in the hospital. He's frantic because he's IN the wedding. I show up to the reception (highly medicated) and his family proclaims "You're for real!!! And she's pretty too!" Umm... in shock... we enjoy the rest of the weekend and officially begin dating. Six months later he returns from a military deployment, flies me to his base (Colorado) and proposes. The rest is history!
We found a forever love in one another. Many parts of our lives are opposite, but this provides an unending amount of variety for both of us. We have learned to appreciate one another for who we are individually and have a healthy appetite for participating in the other's style. He is very outgoing sort of fly by the seat of your pants and I am more reserved-methodical-and structured. This combination melds together very well for us.
Things I love about my Ke-Ke:
1) He loves God
2) He loves me just the way I am
3) He loves taking care of me
4) He is a great listener
5) He is a great encourager
6) He rubs my feet
7) He encourages me to relax
8) He pampers me
9) He reads to me
10) God made him... just for me!
The Lord has provided a forever blessing in my darling hubby. It's amazing to think of how so many circumstances have had to occur to bring us together. God is so good! I thank him every day for this precious blessing!!!!
