I LIED But I Can Make It Up To You

This will stay at the top until March 31st.

HAPPY BLOGGER-

BIRTHDAY TO ME!

MARCH 31, 2008

Ok so a while back I made a mistake. I haven't been blogging for THREE years, only TWO. (Thanks Mom) SORRY. I'm really not a liar. It was a simple mistake. I must not be very good with arithmatic!

To make it up to ya'll, I'm going to give away a little prize package to one lucky winner. What's in it?

  • An awesome PINK journal. It's cover is textured like alligator skin or something, but it's not the real thing. I love it because its... PINK! Click on the photo to get a closer look. Saweet... isn't it!?
  • A devotional "Sharing Your Faith" from The Discipleship Series by Carolyn Nystorm.
  • A PINK candle by Cottage Hill Soaps... Cotton Candy flavor... I mean scented! Smells OH SO GOOD!!! I could just eat it!
  • Something from Starbucks... either a pound of coffee or a box of Tazo Tea - YOU PICK!!! Let's face it... who doesn't love Starbucks!!!

I see it now... light the candle, waft the sweet scents while kicking back in your big cushy chair to complete a lesson in your new devotional and write your thoughts in your new awesome journal for a lifetime of safe-keeping... all the while sipping a delectable cup of tea or coffee! LOVE IT!! It's so me! And so appropriate for a birthday prize pack.

My candles! My wonderful soy candles! (LOL)

Of COURSE I'm going to enter this! Okay...

2. An interesting fact about anything 'country'. Um...

In our house, we have a mismatch of furniture harking back to bachelor days, pre kids days and now sticky-finger-snotty-nose days. We have furniture that Hubs made, furniture that I made (in Grade 10 I made a bookcase, LOL), an old leather suite that made it through 10+ years at the inlaws but was destroyed within one year at our house, and any number of other orphaned items. When we moved into our house almost three years ago, we couldn't afford to replace a whole houseful of furniture but we did decide to buy a country-style wooden dining suite. As it turns out, we also have a massive print on one wall, and two smaller prints on an adjacent wall, showing the art of an Aussie painter, D'Arcy Doyle, right above this table. So if you were facing this corner, you'd think we lived in a wonderful little country cottage and expect to turn around and catch gingham curtains, one of those wire chicken-shaped egg baskets and, I don't know, handmade quilts as wall hangings. Instead you get a bookcase made out of old signs (painted BLACK no less!) and the aforementioned grade 10 bookcase which has always had a bit of a lean to it...

You could say my taste and my husband's taste run a little bit different...LOL. The last table before this wooden one was an atrocious black-and-glass monstrosity with diagnal legs.

I was not sad to see that go...

3. I prefer tea, but if I win (I've already used up my win quota this month with the school Easter raffle, sigh) you may want to google shipping restrictions on food items to Australia. I have no idea whether they would say no to bringing the tea in :)

Cheers,
Lizzie

Something country! I first misread the rules like the second poster did. I thought it said "Post an interesting fact about a country..." but something about country. That's different! I live in the Central Valley of California...kind of country. I love Country Music also! How's that?
And I like coffee....or black Tazo Tea.

Jenny,

What a fun prize pack, and happy early blogging birthday!

I used to think I was a city person, but I have found that small town life is a better fit for me. I don't know that I could live way out in the *country* but I like living nearby! Country out where we live means pigs, cows and corn!

And I meant to add that I really enjoy Tazo herbal tea--yum! Thanks for the entry!

I just love your BLOG - it is just so warm and cozy - if you can call a BLOG that??!!

I love living in the country - well at least a small town that is surrounded by the loveliest countryside you've ever seen. It's filled with sheep, horses and cows and we wouldn't want to live anywhere else. And while I do NOT like country music - I have to say - some of it has grown on me living in this rural area for so many years now. I still don't like the TWANG - but the ballads are lovely.

Congratulations on 2 years blogging - I'm getting there too! Thanks for offering such a lovely prize just for commenting - I'm happy to do it. I thank your mom for making me aware of it!!

Hubby and I both love our morning coffee - so if we are the lucky winners - any type of coffee will do - but a nice chocolate or cinnamon variety wouldn't hurt!

Good luck on your future blogging!

SANDI from Maryland (and mom can deliver my prize if I win when she comes for her soup labels!)

I have just discovered your blog from Thankful Thursdays, and you're already celebrating 2 years! I feel like I'm a little late to the party!

My email address is chandra_ryals @bellsouth.net. I listen to mostly contemporary Christian music, but I used to listen to country when I was in high school. My favorite country singer was Randy Travis, who is now a Christian recording artist. I only drink coffee on rare occassions so I would prefer the tea, please.

Happy blogiversary!

Happy Blog-iversary!

I think the older I get, the more I would love to live in the country(currently in a city with population 150,000+) Nothing but the noise of crickets and no stupid street lights showing through my bedroom window all night long.

Ooh, enter me!

1. You can contact me through the e-mail address on my blog (or the comments there).

2. Country? I love my country.

3. I don't drink tea or coffee. Herbal tea is good, though. Or hot chocolate. If I win, you could just leave that part out, I guess.
