Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for the season of summer... and I never thought I'd say that. I am not actually a big fan of hot and sticky weather, but this summer has been rather pleasant I think. We have had a good mix of rain, sunshine, and breezy days. I think the lack of drought definitely makes a world of difference in the season.

I'm grateful that the Lord created seasons and has allowed me to live in an area where I may witness the changes in a significant way. My favorite season is fall because the weather is comfortable and the leaves change so beautifully. My next favorite is spring because after a long time of cold and dreary comes new life springing forth in abundance. Summer and winter have always been a toss-up for me. I like the snow as long as the sun is shining and the wind isn't blowing. But summers like this year... gotta love it.

I like to participate in Thankful Thursday, but I'm not always good at linking up. Thank you Peggy for reminding me. Usually it's because I'm in a time-crunch of sorts... But I do want to recognize the host, Iris over at Sting My Heart and invite ya'll to participate as well. Check it out!!!

I so agree with you on seasons. I love them, but we don't have much of a nature change. Palm trees don't drop their leafs or change color *sight*. I am not too big on summer her in AZ, because it is just a little too hot for my own taste :)

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us.

Blessings to you and yours...

Hi Jenny,
We have a lot in common! I love fall and spring and don't care a lot for summer/winter...too hot/cold. My husband and I also don't have children but we have two chihuahuas we adore. Happy TT!

Jenny,

I love spring the best. I guess after winter I'm ready to see all of God's creations come back to life, most especially flowers.

Your Penny is beautiful! I'm glad to see you have her back. Or was her name Callie? Just kidding! She is beautiful though.

Happy TT!
Cheryl

God bless you for sharing your heart with us. Seasons...in Mississippi, we have two seasons, cold and hot. Oh, there's a third season we call Pollen Season. But I'm thankful for them, too!

I grew up mainly in the deep south. I never experienced a real change of seasons until I was 12 and we moved to MO. Boy was I ever amazed as I experienced our first winter snow. I remember being in awe of how pretty it was. That is until the next morning when I had to get on the bus and the snow had turned to black mush. LOL. I have to say my favs are spring and fall. Here in the south the fall isn't too cold so I can handle it. Anyway, sorry for the long comment. Thanks for sharing.
Be blessed,
Stacy

I love summer too! My garden comes alive in the summer! It's been pretty hot and sticky here after a very long wet spring. Thanks for sharing. Blessings!
